I’ve been using 2 brands for 15 months now. Moultrie wins hands down. I have 3 different models, from the cheaper bulky re-manufactured (not recommended) to the midlevel (pretty good) to the M990i .. the best. Crystal clear pictures in color daytime, and pretty good b/w night. Easy to program. Easy to change Batteries. Batteries last much longer the the SteathCam POS (the other brands I have ..and they are SC is not battery friendly at all). On the battery issue .. I prefer the C Cells over AA but that’s me. I do use rechargeable on all my equipment now (I have written reviews on the chargers in other reviews). I like the M990i for many reasons .. another is the ability to run a 3/8 security cable through it vertically (not horizontal, and not the 1/8th weak cable some others take). Watertight. I do paint my according to the background with Testers Model Paint. Sorry for the rambling, just between flights. Great product, just ordered 2 more 990i for a total of 4 of those, 3 of the mid level, 2 of the re-man (don’t buy them), and 3 of the Steath Cam (real 1989’s technology on the SC).

this is a great product. A lot of different products out there. We bought two of them as the set up looked to be easy. Wow, was that nice when my wife could set it up with no problems. The motion detection was great and really nice clarity of the picture shots. Make sure to have it pointed not directly up hill and with the sunlight hitting the sensor I am not sure if that triggered a few shots(12 to be exact) or if a bird flew by. It was nice that it could use my 32 gig card and the LCD made quick work to see and delete what was not needed. Easy to setup with the lcd screen and nice to be able to just quickly look thru the pics to see what you had cross the path. I really appreciated the degree of side views as some elk were off the trail but still visable. It has a very sturdy case and the strap was felt secure and nice. Also the camo color works perfect in the northwest where the one color cases stand out. Perfect for late season hunting and no problems with wet weather as the cover secures it very nicely.

These are the first trail cameras I have purchased, but I talked with friends about their cameras, looked at the many brands/features
in retail stores, and compared these cameras with others via the internet. I am glad I chose these particular ones, and am well-satisfied with them. I am still “playing” with them to get acquainted with features and controls, they are easy to operate, and take
excellent photos day or night. A couple of months have passed since purchase, cameras work well, only problem seems to be that the motion sensor does not always trigger quick enough, as some deer have walked by the cameras without being photographed quickly enough. Have only photo’d the south end of a north-bound deer.
