This vest was my first Fishpond product. I am throughly pleased with it. Very sturdy and durable. Deceptively good storage space. Made by a Colorado company and it looks sharp too. I will be shopping Fishpond for my next fishing vest, bag or day pack for sure.

Great product, but a tad too roomy for those with a slimmer build., July 30, 2014

Bought for my boyfriend for his birthday. Tons of pockets. Lightweight. Well made. The tip it feeder holes in the front big pocket are a little tricky to get line through as they don’t spool out easily, but it’s a minor flaw. The built in foam fly compartment was especially nice. If you have a slim or slighter build, man or woman, say under 5’10” and under 150 lbs, you’ll find that the vest is still roomy even with all the buckles on the shoulders and sides cinched in as tight as they can get. This is the case even worn over waders with rain coats and etc underneath. I would love to see this company come out with the same vest in a “slim” fit. If you are on the average to bigger side, this is probably a perfect vest, but for the smaller peeps, like my boyfriend who’s more Bruce Lee sized, it’s a tad too roomy. Definitely loose on me, and I’m 5’5 and 130 lbs. Ideally, when loaded with gear a vest would stay close to the torso so it’s less likely to be a counter weight when you are having a hard time keeping your balance in a slippery stream. Otherwise, great vest. Well thought out. Dries quickly. Mesh back stays cool and breathes and has a low profile so it doesn’t inhibit casting.

Returned. Im 5’7″ and 140 pounds. I like the style and design of this vest, but it is way too big. Even with all of the adjustments tightened to the max, it was still really wide and way to big. I think it would fit a larger man, with a larger chest well. Try on in store first.
