This is my first finder and I’ve had it for a few months now;. I like it. It hasn’t helped me catch more fish but I guess that’s why it is called a fish finder and not a fish catcher. Seriously though, the river that I boat on can all of sudden become very shallow, so just having this as a depth finder is well worth the money. I doubt you’ll need instructions to use it because it is very simple to operate. Switching view ranges is very easy. Within a 1/2 hour you’ll have it down. I do wish that it came with a longer transducer cable. I have a 24′ pontoon boat and I mounted the transducer to one of my toons back end. After running the wiring under the boat I came up a foot or two short from reaching the helm. Unfortunately I had to order a transducer 10′ extension cable that costs around $40.
