Not worth the price, January 6, 2013

These are WAY pricey for what you get. I debated between this set and the 3M junior ear muffs for my 21 month old for flying space available military flights (the planes are very loud) and also for playing outside around her daddy when he is woodworking. The 3M junior muffs are not too far off as far as sound protection, 22db versus the 26db rating of these ProEars Revo. I wanted the highest possible rating for a petite set of ear muffs, and these were the highest I could find. I ordered the pink zebra. When I received them, I was disappointed in the very shoddy paint job and immediately felt buyers remorse. The zebra stripes were blotchy and peeling in places. For $40, this is absolutely unacceptable. I returned them and ordered the 3m junior ear muffs in pink for $16. The 3M junior muffs are nice and fit well, for my daughter and I both, actually, and they offer more than adequate sound protection for our purposes. I would not waste my money on these, as there are higher protection ratings out there for a better price, especially if you need a bigger sized adult pair. I got the 3M peltor optime 98 for myself for $12, and they are great for woodworking outside.

I purchased these for my 9-year-old son so that he can wear them at school during tests and silent reading time to block out all of the noises his brain cannot filter out automatically, as well as to wear during homework time to help him focus. I also ordered a pair for my 5-year-old, sometimes noises bother him and he’ll cover his ears and scream “BE QUIET!” at everybody. Now he can simply wear these. They are very nice quality and the colors are nice. I got blue cosmic for my 9yo and the pink cosmic for my 5yo (he loves pink!) They fit my 9-year-old’s head, whose head is about as big as mine, and also my 5yo, who has a small head. They are adjustable.

    Very nice ear muffs.

    Pro ears ReVo

I am a petite woman who had been using Pro Ears Dimension Plus hearing protectors, but found they were too large for my small head.
I now use Pro Ears ReVo, which is a custom built electronic version of the passive model, intended for youth, women, or those with a smaller head size. I chose the design, Blue Cosmic, which I felt is more in keeping with my age, but there are many other cool designs and colors to choose from
The ReVo custom model fit snug over my ears, has an easily adjustable head band, and the electronics are outstanding. The electronics enable me to listen to a conversation away from the shooting line, then when I am on the line ready to shoot, they allow me to hear the range officer’s commands clearly and very effectively muffle the gunshots.
I highly recommend the ReVo with electronics for women who have a small head size, who are serious shooters concerned about protecting their hearing.
